This is the kitchen which is really nice, it has a microwave, some burners, a toaster, all the pots and pans etc, a little fridge and a washing machine!
The bathroom...clean and nice...we had a mini pipe problem at first and water was going into the bathroom from the balcony above....but that got fixed.

laura, it looks really nice. hope you have your long underwear with you! it will soon be getting warmer and spring will be coming so you will warm up. you don't mention if there is a bus or train into the city or are you dependent on the bikes? what about food shopping? have you met the other people on the program with you? are they staying in the same place as you?

Laura, nice photos (the whole lot). Hope you can find some cork-board for that brick wall ... something you can stick pins in. Stay warm, and I hope you're able to find a zi xing che soon. (You're fluent now, right?) :)

Hi Laura – this is Grandma and Aunt Michele writing to say hello. Tim and Wersell showed us your pictures from China. It was soooo good to see you. You look happy and at times cold. Glad to see you dressed up warm but that room of yours doesn’t sound so warm. Is there a way to get any more heat? How are you going to get food if you are so far from the city? We thought your pictures of the pagodas were beautiful. Grandma is ready to try those stairs at the park and when you were going up the mountain. Never thought China was so beautiful says Grandma. We are down here having dinner with Grandma. Tomorrow we are going to Sandusky to a waterpark with Patrick and Erin. There will be 8 of us in 1 room. Kind of scary huh? Your mom is coming down tomorrow to have dinner with Grandma. Grandma wants to know if you’re coming back to cook tomorrow or is your mom doing it? Just kidding. Actually, I’m sure Grandma would love some of that squid we saw in one of your pictures. Grandma wants to know how much Chinese food you’re eating like we get here in the restaurants. Spring is around the corner here and hopefully it is there too so you get warm. We’re looking forward to hearing from you again. We miss you and can’t wait to see you in June. Grandma and I are anxious to show us some more of China. I feel much better now that I’ve seen you. I’m not so worried about you. Just don’t’ go to any secret meetings – remember!!!!! Love you and can’t wait to party with you at Nick’s wedding. Grandma says she’s gonna dance the Czadash!!!! Take care.
Love, Grandma and Aunt Michele

LAURA WE FORGOT TO TELL YOU - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! HOPE IT WAS GREAT!! DON’T THINK YOU’LL EVER FORGET WHAT YOU DID OR WHERE YOU WERE WHEN YOU TURNED 23. WE’RE SO HAPPY FOR YOU. AGAIN, HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM GRANDMA AND AUNT MICHELE
